ESL tutoring sessions are designed to help future teachers strengthen the key concepts tested on the TExES English as a Second Language (ESL 154) certification exam. During this personalized 1-hour session, we focus on the specific topics you need the most help with, including: • Language acquisition theories and second-language development • Strategies for supporting English language learners (ELLs) • Cultural responsiveness and inclusive classroom practices • ESL instructional strategies and language development • Test-taking strategies for the ESL (154) exam Our tutors walk you step-by-step through practice questions similar to those found on the exam, helping you understand how to analyze classroom scenarios, identify effective instructional strategies for multilingual learners, and apply the best teaching practices on test day. This session is perfect for candidates who: • Are struggling with ESL concepts or language acquisition theories • Want help working through practice questions and classroom scenarios • Need targeted support before their exam date By the end of the session, you’ll leave with clear strategies, stronger confidence in supporting English language learners, and a better understanding of the ESL exam format.
Cancellation Policy
Tutoring Session Responsibilities, Cancellation, and Rescheduling Policy Tutors engaged to lead tutoring sessions are expected to prepare thoroughly for the content they agree to deliver, arrive on time for scheduled sessions, and provide a high-quality instructional experience consistent with TutoringEZ standards of service. Tutors are responsible for communicating any anticipated challenges related to session content, preparation, or scheduling as early as possible to allow for appropriate adjustments or alternative arrangements. Clients, including individual students or group participants, are responsible for communicating the need to cancel or reschedule a confirmed tutoring session at least 24 hours in advance for cancellations and/or rescheduling requests. This advance notice is required to ensure that tutors have adequate time to prepare materials, adjust instructional plans, and, when necessary, reschedule or make other professional arrangements. In cases of extreme or unforeseen circumstances, such as sudden illness, medical emergencies, severe weather, or other unavoidable events that prevent timely communication, all parties are expected to notify one another as soon as reasonably possible. In such circumstances, TutoringEZ will work in good faith with both the tutor and the client to determine appropriate next steps, including rescheduling when feasible. This policy is intended to respect the professional time and preparation commitments of tutors while maintaining flexibility and responsiveness to clients’ needs. Clear, timely communication from all parties supports effective instruction, preserves instructional quality, and ensures a reliable and supportive tutoring experience. There is a $10 no-show fee associated with this tutoring session booking.
